I'm very happy with the Canon DR-2010C. I've set it some tricky tasks, from glossy partwork magazines to old handwritten notes in faded blue ink on recycled paper, and have always been able to find settings to extract the information I need.
Sheet feeding seems to work perfectly with good originals though jams can happen with random assortments of paper types. My only caveat is that the colour reproduction is not quite as strong as the rest of the package, but this is clearly not the focus of the product.

First time I’ve reviewed anything – I had to though as this kit is the bee’s knees. My use is home office + community website support. Setup was straightforward with clear instructions on how to remove packing tape etc. and install the feed roller. Almost the first item I scanned was a brochure cover with a very complicated dark background - the results were perfect. Scanning speed is excellent. A good software package too – I use Paperport anyway and the 2010C integrates wonderfully. I just can’t fault it.

I suppose there are two drawbacks of these type of scanners.
1. they are very expensive
2. You can't scan a passsport or a page from a book.
That apart they are an amazing compact, fast piece of technology that will pay for itself with the time it saves you.
I once paid someone £150 week to slowly scan in the paper documents from my cabinets. I wish I'd waited 6 years!
Full marks to Tradescanners for addressing point 1. and for being £100 cheaper than some of their competitors.
I found the software to be superb and 1 touch scanning using the buttons on the front of the scanner is excellent.
I have an inbox, which it automatically scans into, amongst my paperport documents and I use the split screen to bring it up and copy over files into the folder that I'm working on.
Overall 5 stars because it's worth the price and I'd be knit-picking about the lack of a flat scanner.

Your recommendation was spot-on. The Canon DR2010C is a smart compact little machine that doesn’t take up unnecessary desk space. Setup was relatively straightforward with the installation of the software included and I quickly got the hang of scanning documents straight to a folder on my desktop as pdf files. As my useage increases I will no doubt start using some of the machine’s more complex features, but I’m really pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good quality scanner for home or small office use but not wanting to spend a fortune.

We have been so impressed with scanner would like to buy some more. This is without doubt the best scanner we have ever had. It takes up very little space, it is very fast and comes with excellent software for storing documents once scanned, particularly like the ability to save multiple page documents as one pdf. We are thinking of buying another 3 or 4 over next few weeks.

When the scanner arrived it was smaller than expected which is great because nobody likes a big peice of equipment sat on their desk, but for a small scanner we were surprised how well it worked, very quick and easy to use. All in all a great peice of equipment.

The Canon dr-2010 c is the best piece of kit we have in our office. Its diminutive size belies its amazing efficiency and range of choices eg direct feed of a whole pile of documents, duplex and colour scanning. While it did seem pricey initially it has well paid for itself by replacing laborious time consuming feeding of one page at time, making sure the document faces the right way up. It is also very fast. An excellent new generation type of product

A great little scanner. Very compact when closed, then opens up to hold the paper. Both build quality and scan quality are excellent. It's slightly noisier than the DR-2050C, as it emits a low whine as it feeds the paper through, but not loud enough to become irritating. We've had no problems with the paper handling.
This is the 5th Canon scanner we have bought through Tradescanners and they are all still working well in daily use after 3 or 4 years. Quality items, and we don't even bother looking elsewhere when we need another scanner.

I can speak for the whole team here in our little office, but we LOVE the scanner! It was recommended to me by a friend and it has transformed our lives. We often have to scan 25-40 page documents which are double sided and this does it quickly, rarely a jam or missed page, even with different sizes of paper being fed into it... seems that right now if it isn't pinned down, we'll scan it!
The accompanying PaperPort software is a dream. So very easy to use.
Suffice to say, we highly recommend it.
